I had finally gotten around to restoring our fiberglass swimming pool slide ( circa 1958 ) My grandkids were really excited about having a functional pool slide again. As part of the restoration I was looking all over for a machine shop that could remove several thousands of an inch from 5 steel pool slide legs . It was very frustrating running into dead ends over and over . Where did all the machine shops go ? I walked into Cooks Machine Works where I met Jim . I told him my situation and he agreed to help me out . I dropped off my 1-7/8” OD tubes on a Monday .I received a call from Paul the following morning telling me my parts were ready . I am so grateful for all their help . When I got there I needed some spacers cut and Jim jumped right in and handled that job too . I was watching Jim work and I knew I was watching a seasoned veteran craftsman. Its not just the attention to detail and the prompt service. I know ( in the big scheme of things) my job was a very small job . These guys went out of their way to help me out . That is rare these days. Thanx again for everything!

I had some golf cart axles shorten at Cooks after someone else made a mess of it. They did great work faster than I thought they would! Great service, real pros, I would highly recommend them for axles, drive shafts… if they say they can do it they will and it will be done right!

Have an aluminum pulley that Paul was able to repair the key slot for a vintage marine diesel engine. Paul even retapped the set screw holes for me. Definitely recommend Cooks.

Drive shaft broke on bronco they repaired it changed joints painted it looked brand new unbelievable. 4 years later no problems.

They put a u-joint on my driveshaft for a project car it was the wrong one I took it back to them a few weeks later when I realized it was wrong and they changed it out with the correct one with no problem in less than a hour will go back to these guys

Got a quote to pull a bearing off a drive shaft $100 labor plus $85 for the Bearing took it down the street to another shop they charged me $40 labor and $40 for the Bearing . They should change there name to CROOKS
