GoldStar Tool are thieves and scammers. Placed an order, was charged for it, then I immediately canceled the order because I found a better product for a better price from a real distributor. Obviously this was no fault of GoldStar at THAT point. I was told over the phone by their “service” rep that my order was successfully canceled and would be refunded. Now after almost a month and many emails and calls to the incompetent service department I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED. I’ve even spoken to the owner and he just mumbled something incomprehensible and says the same thing the “service” team says. They have assured me that I’ve been refunded, and even claimed to have “pushed” a refund through while I was on the phone with them. I have no recourse since there was never any emailed confirmation of my cancellation, and now it’s been almost a month of dealing with this. I called and emailed again yesterday and today and got more of the same “your refund is coming”. Not to mention that their customer “service” person Lupe starts giving me attitude and talking over me while I’m trying to express my frustration with the situation. I work in customer service, I deal with people all day and I get it but that’s just pitiful. Now basically all I can do is try to warn others to be careful doing business with these absolute cowards. Just save some money and a headache and don’t do business with these lying thieving scammers.

Also don’t put any credibility in the ResellerRatings reviews they so proudly show on their site. That review site is itself a scam that bad businesses use to dupe customers. Notice the plethora of 1 star ratings on TrustPilot, Better Business Bureau, Google and other reputable review sources.

UPDATE: Talked to the owner David today. He accused me of lying and abusing the system and hung up on me. And this man who can only communicate via email in single, incomplete sentences told me I don’t know English. This is a company run by babies. I wouldn’t even just be cautious with these clowns, just don’t go here ever. No exaggeration the worst excuse for a business I have ever dealt with in my entire life.

Good product at a good price, until they make a mistake and give you the runaround and no resolution. All went fine until my 4th order when I got the wrong die set for a bag of eyelets (their website defaulted to the wrong part and doesn't even show the correct one as an option). They gave me the run around for over a month, and after about 20 phone calls and texts, they just keep dragging it out. All I needed to do was exchange a $25 item for the correct $25 item (in the end I said I would even pay for the correct part if they could give me a part number), and they would rather lose a customer. I am happy to pay a little more than ever have to deal with this clown show again.

Should have read the review. Customer service is a mess. Took me 2 months to get a return on defective machine finalized including refuting the charge with my credit card company.

I had bought from this company for over 2 years not the best service but shipping was cheap, never returned any items. 3 weeks a go I order a clutch belt for my sewing machine they sent the wrong size. I send an email to return the item but I had to pay for the return, is not my fault they send a 34 when I order a 36. So I put it back in the box and in the garbage. Got the right one from Amazon. Waisted $10.00 and 7 days waiting. Will never buy from this crooks again.

Update: We finally, after basically pestering the owner for MONTHS to send our refund, on January 10th, received our full refund. This has been a painstaking process that should never have happened this way. We will still never buy from this company and I hope others will learn how to cover their back ends if they decide to deal with this company. Be a smart consumer!!!

DO NOT BUY from GoldStar Tool. We paid in full ($5,875) for a Juki LK-1900BNS directly from the owner, David, in late April 2022, 3 months later no indication of when we could expect to receive it. He would always have a reason why things were delayed. Trying to get him to call us back was challenging leaving us to call back multiple times until we got him on the phone. During this time, we weren't able to work on our product which prevented us from going to market. We decided to cancel our order August 2022, sending an email to David, the owner, who told us what we needed to include. He said he would send an email confirming he received the cancellation and another showing that the refund was issued back to our card. To this day he still hasn't reimbursed us. I was always patient and understanding during the process and was really hoping that we would have a great working relationship. For him not to return calls, not performing quality control on machines before they are shipped and customers getting machines that won't work, sending wrong products to customers, not refunding in a timely manner.... is a crime. David and his lack of customer service will be the downfall of his business.

There is absolutely no reason for him to hold our money and always has an excuse as to why the machine hadn’t come in or why we haven’t received our refund. We will fight until we receive our money and help others who have been wronged by this company. It's been stressful for us and many others. One lady reached out to me and she's a widow, on a fixed income and took a loan out to get her dream machine so she could have fun making items for the rest of her retirement. He sent her a different model than what she ordered, the manual was only in Chinese, and she couldn't find documentation online. Had an issue with a skiving machine I bought from them that arrived not working correctly. After a bunch of back and fourth for over a month nothing has been resolved. The machine arrived broken and I still have no replacement or refund. Yes its cheap, but be prepared for customer service to be lacking if you have any issues.

Update 30JUNE2021:
Owner told my credit card company he would send a replacement device, and here we are 4 months later and nothing. Basically i got scammed out of $1000.
