(DWX compact railed )Awesome company awesome service had no issues with the plate whatsoever even the screws for the plate to the slide. It married the slide perfectly almost no movement really nice quality metal. However, the screws that were sent for the optic were just a tad too short. They were the right size and everything. They were just a little too short and would not pick up the threads to tighten to spec I threw a text message to the customer service line. He called me within three minutesAlmost, he asked a couple of questions we figured out exactly what was going on. He said don’t worry about it. I’m gonna send you everything that you need, he sent out the very next day Three days later, it went together in 30 seconds awesome company !

Scott got me in and out of the shop within 35 minutes all while milling and applying my new Holosun red dot on my Glock 45 9mm. I thought this would take at least a week and I would have to go without my firearm. Instead, Scott got me all taken care of in the blink of an eye (the same hour I brought in my firearm). If you want your weapons milled for a very reasonable price while maintaining quality work. Definitely shop with Scott and Impact Machine. Especially if you are local. (It can be done in the same day if there are no appointments ahead of you) Top notch customer service and machinery here with Scott. Springfield Prodigy Plate

I had an issue with the threaded holes for mounting the optic. I contacted Impact Machine and told him that there was an issue with how loose the threaded holes were and he replied for me to follow the instructions and it would be fine.

The 6-32 tap drilled holes were tapered. The drill size should be.110 for that thread, they were actually.124-.127 for more than 2/3’s of the plate thickness which only left.004-.005 for thread engagement. I ended up installing heli-coils in the plate to make it usable. I’ve been a machinist for over 40 years now and this would not have worked out for most people who wouldn’t be able to handle fixing it.
I believe that this would’ve been a failure for most people and would’ve resulted in some sort of damage to their optic, gun or maybe some personal injury

5 Stars isn't a high enough rating for Scott Milam and Impact Machine. So far I have had 9 slides milled by ICM and all of them have been exceptional.

Humble people with great attitudes and the work ethic to back it up! I cannot give praise high enough for the work they do! I can assure you that if you need something milled, even if other shops told you no. You need to talk to Impact.
